You know, when I started this blog, I thought I would write about personal stuff and software engineering to a certain extent. I never dared I would blog so much about damn hardware like I do now.

This time, it’s my old 21″ CRT. This evening, it made some strange noise and started to smell a bit, so I turned it off. I turned it on again later. For some time, it kept smelling, but then everything seemed to be back to normal. After some minutes, suddenly it made another short, loud noise, and the image flickered for a fraction of a second. I turned it off again, because it would certainly ruin my white wallpaper if it would go up in flames. I fear that I will have to buy a replacement, which would be a second 20″ TFT.

But I still refuse to create an own “hardware” category.
