For me, being born in 1979, the year 2007 seems to be somewhat like the return of the dinosaurs. Accidentially I ran across a news that The Police will rejoin for a tour beginning May 28th!

The day after they opened the Grammy Awards telecast, the Police broke the news that they will begin a global tour on May 28 in Vancouver, B.C., that will run into the early part of next year.

So I am now looking forward to seeing Genesis in June this year and I can’t wait to get my hands on tickets for The Police! For me being a computer scientist, it was an honor for me to see Nikolaus Wirth live speaking in Cologne last year; now for me being a music lover it will be an honor to enjoy these great bands live. Not only that they both did great music, they both do have amazing drummers. I’m so excited.

Youtube has a nice video of both vocalists, Phil Collins and Sting, online, performing Phil Collins’ track Long long way to go. Well worth listening and a welcome variety between other more recent favorite acts like DJ River, SoaD, PvD, Incubus, Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan (both original and remixed), Faithless, Junkie XL, or - to name a less recent - Mozart :-) (Actually, this is just a little extract of my favorites. I have a really broad interest in music. Did I ever mention that I saw Kylie Minogue live some years ago? You wouldn’t believe what a great show this sexy little lady makes. Her “Fever” album was plastic pop crap, but the tour was just amazing.)
